The Jamaican legend had been tipped to get beaten in the 100m which he came through to win but always said he was confident with the 200m.
The Bird Nest stadium went crazy for Bolt who after the run and in the end bolt won with Gatlin second and British youngster Zhanel Hughes finishing fifth.
